Field Certification & Audits
Equipping the Next Generation of Stewards. Environmental literacy is the foundation of long-term conservation. HMS provides multidisciplinary 7-12 and adult curricula designed to make complex aquatic science accessible and actionable. Partner with us to bring high-performance environmental education to your school or community group.
Protocol Training: Volunteers are trained on specific sampling techniques (pH, dissolved oxygen, and macroinvertebrate counting) to ensure our data meets Scientific Rigor standards (USGS water sampling protocol).
Quality Assurance: To ensure our data is actionable for state and federal agencies, we conduct annual field audits. This ensures our citizen science is just as accurate as “professional science.”
Certification: Each program will have certificates and Level I, II, and III will have challenge/recognition coins minted by the oldest private mint in the US.
